Best known as Caterpillar’s exclusive dealer in Mongolia and a major factor in mining expansion, Wagner Asia observed their anniversary by good deeds that included, for some examples: delivering winter food staples and supplies to 27 snowbound households of the Batsumber soum, Tuv province; donating essential diagnostic equipment to the newly-commissioned 50-bed hospital in Tsogttsetsii soum, Umnu-Gobi province, to allow children, pregnant mothers and others to obtain an immediate diagnosis in the soum rather than being forced to travel to the province center or Ulaanbaatar; aiding the Veloo Foundation to serve impoverished children in Songino-Khairkhan district, Ulaanbaatar, by providing free kindergarten, food, toys, furniture, bus repair and refurbishing the school library; and renovation of the safe house of the National Center Against Domestic Violence, the refuge center for women and children at risk of danger from domestic violence and abuse.
Wagner Asia’s annual payment of taxes and fees to the Government of Mongolia in the most recent year was equivalent to funding annual salaries for 200,000 government employees, or funding annual pension payments for 300,000 retirees, or funding the entire annual budget for the Mongolian military.
