The 9th Annual Investors Conference and Prime Minister’s Roundtable

September 17-19, 2006 -- Khan Palace Hotel, Ulaanbaatar

REGISTER NOW for the Business Council’s 9th Annual Investors Conference in Ulaanbaatar, September 17-18-19, 2006. Our Investors Conference has been the only successful annual international investors conference in Mongolia since the end of the Socialist period.   It is open to any interested participant, regardless of nationality, including non-members. Attendance has steadily increased since our first conference in 1998; last year, we had 76 registrants from seven different countries. Our Investors Conferences are horizontal, covering urgent policy matters of interest to all sectors. Our venue this year is the Khan Palace Hotel in Ulaanbaatar. The deadline for guaranteed hotel reservations is August 18; to make reservations, contact [email protected].

We are expecting new US Ambassador Mark Minton to deliver his first public speech at the conference and also look forward to welcoming President N. Enkhbayar, the only Mongolian official who has addressed every conference since the first. One of the highlights of the conference is a private and informal Roundtable discussion with the Prime Minister, a tradition started in1998 and continued by all Prime Ministers since then. The 3-day program includes discussions with leading Mongolian government, parliamentary and political leaders – as well as a delightful evening in the countryside for dinner with traditional entertainment.

The Council works closely with the US and Canadian Governments, as well as the Government of Mongolia, on economic, trade and investment issues of interest to our members.
